    hi

i recently bought and used aeroplane shuttlecock (cherry label) for the visitor'south game. Some commented that the shuttlecocks seems to be slower. i asked some shop owners and players, they said that the faster shuttlecocks are for students who weaker. is this true?

    regards

Really it is the opposite, faster shuttlecocks is more for tournament play while slower shuttlecocks are for practice because it is easier to hit. Take for example RSL tourney vii, it flies very slow, making it ideal for beginners learning to hit the shuttle.

A range of shuttle speeds are manufactured to suit different playing weather condition. A shuttle will fly at different speeds depending on the temperature and humidity, so that players in Malaysia volition typically take to use slower shuttles than players in Canada. Even in the same climate, different venues may crave different shuttles.

You lot tin can as well, of course, deliberately choose a slower or faster shuttle, but I think this is ordinarily a bad thought.

    Hi roquejo & pelican,

I retrieve both accept your point.

"Slower shuttlecocks are easier to hit and faster shuttlecocks are for whose weaker player"

Depend on room temperature, air density, etc... Different speed of shuttlecocks will exist tested past the Referee to select a correct speed shuttlecocks used during tournament.

You tin can refer to LOB 3.1 & three.ii, Testing A Shuttle For Speed.

Even the same model of shuttles, u should check the speed before purchase. For plane, I believe they use the "48/49/50" system. If you recollect the shuttle is too boring in ur gym, then, buy the ones with higher # adjacent time.

given the climate and altitude of the court, there should but exist one speed in which the shuttle travels. that speed should allow you lot to striking an underhand from baseline and lands on the doubles baseline on the other cease.

there are variations in speed of the shuttle because of the climate and temperature change, and not because of whether one is beginner or not.

    hither is the official law:

You have a point at that place. I sympathise the factories in Communist china that brand the shuttles grade shuttle speed by really testing each and every shuttle with a auto. I was told that testing the shuttle the required distance requires skill and technique. In some shuttle factories, the all-time tournament grades are likewise manus tested to autumn inside the required distance.
I am surprised y'all take never been able to hit the shuttle the required distance. I exercise shuttle testing sometimes. Although most of the time I couldn't attain the distance, I do sometimes hitting the shuttle to land between the two markers, although information technology is more often closer to the nearer marker.

... and then the shuttle should non land shorter than 530 mm and also not shorter than 990 mm? Am a bit confused. How can their exist ii minimum distances...??

In plain English language, information technology should country between 530mm and 990mm brusk of the back boundary line. If it lands less than 530mm to the baseline, then information technology is also fast. If it lands more so 990mm from the baseline, then it is too ho-hum. Anywhere in betwixt those 2 values is acceptable speed.
